Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 3 November, the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan opened the International Week of Innovative Ideas - InnoWeek.uz, which will be held from 3 to 8 November for the first time in an online format.

It will be attended by representatives of more than 30 countries, leading international organizations and companies, experts in the field of science and innovation from Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, Russia, the USA and other countries.

The opening ceremony was attended by and delivered online speeches Adviser to the Prime Minister, Head of the Department of IT Technologies, Telecommunications and Innovative Development (Republic of Uzbekistan) Olimjon Umarov, Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry (Israel) Dan Shekhtman, Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation (Russian Federation) Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade, Head of the Innovation Department under the Ministry of Economy of Israel (Israel) Ami Appelbaum, Chief Executive Officer of the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation Zones (IASP) Ebba Lund, Secretary General Association of High and New Technologies Zones "Silk Road" (People’s Republic of China) Zhang Renzhong, as well as Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov.

- This year, as part of the implementation of the state program "The Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy", a number of strategically important future development programs for the country were adopted, in particular, this is the "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030" strategy, which provides for the digital transformation of regions and entire sectors of the economy, and See also the concept for the development of science until 2030. I am sure that the proposals and expert opinions you have developed within the framework of the Week of Innovative Ideas will contribute to the effective implementation of the adopted programs, - said Olimjon Umarov, Advisor to the Prime Minister, Head of the Department of IT Technologies, Telecommunications and Innovative Development of Uzbekistan.

This format of events offers a number of advantages: a large audience coverage, a high degree of visitor involvement, online communication in real time. Technological companies participating in the exhibition will use their ideas and developments to solve pressing problems.

This year, the list of participants is diverse and relevant: 83 organizations from 11 countries of the world have passed the necessary criteria and will be presented on a virtual platform.

At the same time, the list of registered more than 2000 visitors from 50 countries includes local and foreign research centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators.

As one of the largest technological platforms in Central Asia, operating on the basis of virtual reality technologies, InnoWeek.Uz 2020 is expanding the geography of its influence - there are no restrictions in space and time: at any time of the day, the largest 3D exhibition can be visited by anyone from anywhere in the world. At the same time, all information is presented in a form convenient for the visitor: in a matter of seconds, everyone can find the directions of interest. And most importantly, technology allows you to present interactive presentation materials at virtual exhibition stands.

The topic of ecology and environmental preservation for Uzbekistan is on the list of especially important ones. The Aral Sea problem is a major global ecological disaster affecting not only Uzbekistan. The leadership of our country is carrying out a number of measures to stabilize the environmental situation and improve the living conditions of the population of this region.
