Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A number of instructions to ensure stable gas supply to consumers in Tashkent region in the autumn-winter period 2020-2021 were given by members of the Special Headquarters of the Ministry of Energy during an offsite meeting in the region.
In the course of analyzing the state of affairs on the ground, the Special Headquarters identified a number of shortcomings and the responsible persons were instructed to correct them as soon as possible.
In particular, a corresponding protocol was drawn up to eliminate 48 cases of gas leakage in the gas networks of the region within two days. The need to ensure the supply of natural gas to consumers only through a reducer is indicated. Instructions were given to carry out the repair and commissioning of regulators at 10 gas distribution points (GRP), quality control of 83 hydraulic fracturing stations, repair of safety shut-off valves (PSV) in 43 hydraulic fracturing stations, door regulation in 66 and installation of locks in 60 hydraulic fracturing stations, as well as fencing 84 Hydraulic fracturing.
Pressure gauges at 65 gas distribution points should be installed by 15 October. Members of the Special Staff also made sure that the planned work on overhaul and reconstruction of the region's gas networks has not been completed to date, an order was given to complete this task in full by 20 October.
Taking into account the significant increase in natural gas consumption by the population and social facilities during the cold season, the Special Headquarters set the task to suspend the supply of natural gas to all seasonal consumers, including gypsum and lime production workshops, brick factories. This will ensure a stable gas supply to houses, apartments where people live, as well as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other social facilities.
An important task of the heating season is to ensure safety, to prevent the use of handicraft appliances powered by natural gas, which create a fire hazard.
In this regard, the Special Headquarters gave instructions to create a service in Tashkent region to ensure the safety of gas equipment in the autumn-winter period, to conduct a comprehensive campaign among the population in all makhallas of the region to spend the cold season without incidents, to take measures to replace non-standard and outdated heating boilers in houses for energy efficient.
It was also instructed to install 191,077 units of modern electronic gas meters in homes by the end of this year.
In general, 4.81 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to consumers of Tashkent region in the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021. Of these, 1.72 billion cubic meters of gas are planned to be supplied to the population and 3.08 billion cubic meters - to wholesale consumers.
The total number of natural gas consumers in the region is 617 thousand, of which 14 112 are legal entities, 602 888 are physical consumers (population).
12,916.9 km of gas pipelines and 10,945 gas distribution points will be used to supply consumers with natural gas. There are 45 gas distribution and compressor stations in the region.
To date, 9.2 km of gas pipelines have been completely repaired, 1.2 km of gas pipelines have been reconstructed, 9,983 gas distribution points have been inspected.
From October 1 this year, 21 brigades of 84 people will be working, equipped with special types of machinery and equipment.
Also, in the autumn-winter period, it is planned to supply 5,413 tons of liquefied gas to Tashkent region, for the delivery of which 2 tankers and 28 ISUZU trucks are used. Liquefied gas is supplied to 49,976 households in the region. There are also 3 gas filling stations and 1 service center for storage of cylinders in the region.
