In order to reduce the pressure difference of natural gas produced from the Shurtan field, a 2.5 km long gas pipeline was renovated

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Shurtan field of the Shurtan oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz is one of the largest deposits of natural gas reserves in the Republic. Currently, work is underway at the field to increase the daily production of natural gas.

Natural gas produced from wells in the Shurtan field is transferred through 14 gathering points and 7 batteries in the queue of the gas pretreatment unit.

Natural gas produced from wells at the Shurtan field is transferred to the 1st and 2nd stages of the complex gas treatment unit through 14 collection points and 7 batteries. In this device, natural gas, separated from liquid and mechanical mixtures, is sent to the 2nd stage of the Shurtan compressor station through pipes with a diameter of Ø-426/720 mm

Currently, from the 2nd stage of the complex gas treatment unit to the 2nd stage of the Shurtan compressor station, a 2.5 km long gas pipeline with a diameter of 1020 mm has been installed and put into operation.

By implementing this gas pipeline expansion project, an increase in the daily production of natural gas was achieved by reducing compression in the pipeline, loss of hydraulic resistance, and pressure drop.

Construction and installation works of the project were carried out by Muborakneftegazmontazh JSC.

The Shurtan field is located in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region and was commissioned in 1980.
