Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Digital transformation is impossible without new approaches to organizing business processes. Organizational and technological transformations carried out at Ferghana Oil Refinery LLC (FNPZ), under the trust management of Jizzakh Petroleum JV LLC, will affect all spheres of its activities, and the new management link will be a single production control center, whose task is to increase the speed and efficiency of decision-making.

Along with technical modernization - to replace physically and technologically outdated equipment, to achieve a minimum impact on the environment, the enterprise faces the important task of creating the most efficient production by creating digital models of control and decision-making.

Thus, the creation of a unified production control center at the FNPZ is another important stage in the transformation of the plant’s business in the processing, logistics and sales segment. The new system being built will make it possible to manage the business as a single asset based on real data, using algorithms, mathematical models and the most modern digital systems.

To this end, a project was developed, a schematic diagram of the modernization of the fiber-optic network was built, the appropriate equipment was purchased, more than 40 km of fiber-optic and 45 km of UPT-cable, and the process of its laying at the FNPZ began.

With the implementation of this project, the data transfer rate of the plant’s information network will increase from 2 Mbit / s to 1 Gbit / s and will provide full coverage of its territory. This modern network will make it possible to introduce automation of the management of technological and administrative processes, and, which is important, accounting for raw materials and finished products to collect information on a common server with further distribution to various services. The video surveillance system will also be updated and expanded, which will enhance video control over production processes and security of the plant’s territory.

In addition, the plant is introducing an access control and management system (ACS) - a set of hardware and software controls and controls aimed at limiting and registering the entry and exit of people, transport to the territory of the FNPZ and inside it through "points of passage" (doors , gate and checkpoint). One of the advantages of the installed ACS system is the identification of a person who has access to the territory of the plant, and its additional tasks are defined: recording of working time; payroll calculation (integration with the accounting system); maintaining a database of personnel and visitors; prompt filing of applications for hot meals for workers and the possibility of receiving them in the factory canteen; integration with a security system (video surveillance systems, burglar alarm and fire alarm systems).

The process of establishing IP telephony for employees has begun - this is a new technology for organizing telephone communication, which provides reliable communication, easy scalability, since an unlimited number of subscribers can be connected to it, if necessary, which will also increase the efficiency of the plant’s employees.

In this context, it is necessary to note the introduction of video conferencing tools, which will also have a positive effect on labor productivity, and in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, it makes it possible to conduct video meetings with colleagues and negotiations with partners from other regions.

In the interests of improving the working process and improving working conditions, the replacement of obsolete computers and other office equipment with more powerful ones with modern software began. At the moment, 113 sets of modern computer equipment have been purchased and distributed among departments and employees.

LED screens are gaining more and more popularity and have found their practical application at FNPZ. Thus, at the entrance to the territory of the plant, an LED screen was installed, and in the near future a second one will be installed at the bus stop of the enterprise. Through this information resource, the workers of the plant are provided with the information necessary for life and production activities, incl. related to the prevention and control of the spread of coronavirus.

The transition to a predictive model of business management will allow FNPZ to reach the level of the world’s leading enterprises in terms of efficiency, safety and reliability of assets.
