Implementation of measures to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and exporters of Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions studied

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - From 29 to 31 October 2020, members of the Government Commission for the Development of Export and Investment under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov carried out work to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and exporters in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions.

In the course of work, through visits to enterprises and facilities, monitoring of the execution of orders given during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions in May-June 2020 was carried out, the effectiveness of measures taken was studied, urgent problems were identified and algorithms for their solution were developed. Moreover, directly on the ground with the involvement of the relevant departments and industry organizations, responsible leaders and time frames for solving the identified problems were determined.

They also studied the implementation of practical measures and instructions given in the course of the work of the Government Commission on the development of exports and investments in three areas. The actions taken at the local level to intensify the development of industry, accelerate the implementation of investment projects, increase the level of localization, develop industrial clusters and free economic zones, as well as increase export potential are considered. The assessment of the impact of the implemented measures on the growth of indicators of the gross regional product, the volume of industrial production and revenues to the state budget, as well as providing the local population with jobs.

Specific tasks are outlined to eliminate existing issues, the solution of which is necessary for the high-quality and timely implementation of the planned measures aimed at providing targeted support to exporters and initiators of investment projects.

The main priority was the coordinated activities of the heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks and local authorities on the timely launch of completed projects and the creation of new industries, the deployment of permanent jobs and the increase in export potential.

It was noted that work in this format will ensure the implementation of the tasks set and already bring tangible results - in the regions previously idle industrial enterprises are being restored and new industrial enterprises are being launched, new directions of production are being mastered. During the visit, members of the Government Commission took part in the opening of a number of industries. For example, in Tashlak district of the Ferghana region, the Agro Impex Valley enterprise was opened - a high-tech production for the production of high-voltage ignition wires and metal pipes for the construction of greenhouse structures. The timely launch of this enterprise was ensured, including through the prompt actions of the heads of the relevant ministries and departments.

As a result of the work of the Government Commission, instructions were given to work out additional measures for the development of entrepreneurship in the districts and cities of Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions, as one of the most important points of economic growth and the main source of employment for the population. The need for consistent work on the formation and implementation of sustainable mechanisms for the rapid identification and solution of emerging problems on the ground was emphasized.

Control over the quality and timely execution of orders on an ongoing basis is entrusted to the General Prosecutor’s Office.
