Illegal Tree Felling in Yangiyul Causes Over 1 Billion Soums Damage

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Environmental authorities of the Tashkent Region conducted an inspection in the city of Yangiyul and identified violations of environmental legislation.

In the Lazzat neighborhood, S.B. LLC illegally cut down and uprooted 121 trees using specialized equipment.

According to preliminary estimates, the damage to plant life amounted to 1,067,574,400 soums, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 464 dated 22 August 2022.

Materials collected regarding the violation have been forwarded to the Tashkent Regional Prosecutor’s Office for legal assessment and appropriate measures under the law.
