Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The state duty for issuing an identification card will be 89% of the basic estimated value.

The size of the state fee for issuing and issuing an ID-card will be 89% of the basic estimated value (198 470 soums). This is stated in the government’s resolution “On measures to introduce a system for processing and issuing identification ID cards in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

It is noted that the replacement of the biometric passport with ID-cards will be carried out:

- from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022 on a voluntary basis;

- from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2030 on mandatory basis.

ID-cards will be issued instead of biometric passports for a period of 10 years, which will operate exclusively in Uzbekistan.
