Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Hyatt Regency Tashkent Hotel will be privatized. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the implementation of the agreements reached as a result of visits to the United Arab Emirates and Japan in 2019.

It was noted that with the participation of the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Uzbek Fund, an investment fund, was created. The fund's capital is US$1 billion.

The fund plans to finance small and medium-sized projects, the construction of a hotel in Samarkand, as well as the privatization of the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel at its own expense.

The Hyatt Regency Tashkent was opened in 2016.
