The sides exchanged views on ways and mechanisms for intensifying relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary in a bilateral format and within the framework of the Uzbekistan-European Union dialogue.

As the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said that the parties discussed issues of preparation for the upcoming Uzbek-Hungarian contacts at various levels.

In particular, the parties discussed issues of the next round of inter-MFA political consultations and the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Following the talks, Uzbekistan and Hungary signed a cooperation program for 2018-2020 between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
