Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 March, within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban to the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting of high-level Hungarian experts with the leadership of Samarkand and Jizzakh regions was held. The meeting was organized as part of the initiative to introduce the Hungarian experience to stimulate socio-economic development, an agreement on which was reached during the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to Budapest in February this year.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, as well as Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov.
Within the framework of this initiative, the attracted Hungarian experts who have international authority among the European official, business and public circles and have significant experience in government structures in Hungary will assist in the implementation of reforms in eight priority areas: agriculture, trade and entrepreneurship, banking and financial sector, fiscal, health care, education, e-government development and services.
It was determined that at the initial stage, a deep analysis of the current socio-economic state of the above regions will be carried out, on the basis of which practical measures will be developed, which will subsequently be included in the "Roadmap" to be approved at the level of the Governments of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the participants outlined the priority tasks for further cooperation, and also agreed to create a joint project office for their implementation.
