Huaxin Cement to build a new cement plant in Jizzakh region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese company Huaxin Cement will build a new cement plant in Zafarabad district of Jizzakh region.

The government of Uzbekistan has approved measures to organize the construction of a cement plant in Zafarabad district of Jizzakh region.

The Chinese company Huaxin Cement created Huaxin Cement Jizzakh in Uzbekistan for implementation of a project worth US$150 million. The Chinese company will send US$78 million to purchase equipment.

The capacity of the new cement plant will be 1.2 million tonnes of cement per year. In particular, the plant will produce up to 480,000 tonnes of M400 cement and 720,000 tonnes of Portland cement M500 cement.

It is expected that the plant will be commissioned in December 2019. At the first stage, it is planned to export about 120,000 tonnes of cement.

The government of Uzbekistan has provided a number of tax benefits to Huaxin Cement Jizzakh within the framework of the project.
