Hokim of Ferghana Region Discusses Tourist Complex and Cable Car Project in Shahimardan with POMA
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, Hokim of Ferghana Region, held a working meeting with Anton Chudaev, Central Asia Manager of the French company POMA SAS, during which they discussed promising tourism projects.
The regional leader emphasized that Uzbekistan places great importance on the development of its tourism sector, noting that Ferghana Region has significant potential in this area. He highlighted that, following a recently adopted presidential decision, a “Ferghana” tourist and recreational zone is being established, which is expected to become a new hub for visitors.
During the dialogue, a project was presented for the construction of a modern tourist complex in the village of Shahimardan, Ferghana District, including the installation of a cable car. Other tourism initiatives in the region were also discussed.
The Hokim provided recommendations for further refinement of the project proposals and for organizing joint work based on international experience.
