Germany, Ghana reach second round of World Cup

Germany defeated Ghana with the score 1-0 to secure top place in Group D and set up a second-round clash with England.
Mesut Ozil scored the only goal of the game on the hour to ensure a victory for German side.
In the second match of the Group, Australia overcame Serbia 2-1 in Nelspruit, but both team suffered the World Cup elimination.
Tim Cahill and Brett Holman were on target for Australia, while Serbian substitute Marko Pantelic pulled one back from close range.
