Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An automobile plant is being built in Hajigabul with the participation of an Uzbek company. Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov told APA-Economics during a meeting with President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Mamed Musayev.
According to Bahrom Ashrafkhanov, the plant, together with General Motors, plans to produce cars.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan also noted that in the Alat economic zone, Uzbek and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs can establish joint ventures in the production of textiles, food and medicine.
Speaking about the fact that varieties of nuts and pomegranates grown in Azerbaijan are of great interest in Uzbekistan, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov noted that in this connection he made visits to the regions. He expressed hope that Baku will become a center for transit cargo to Uzbekistan, and noted that concrete work is underway in this regard.
The ambassador also informed about the interest in Uzbekistan in the varieties of nuts and pomegranates grown in Azerbaijan and expressed hope that Baku will become a center for transit goods to Uzbekistan, and noted concrete work in this direction.
