It was reported earlier that after Gazprom revised the purchase price for Turkmen gas from US$100 per 1,000 cubic meters to US$130 - US$150 per 1,000 cubic meters, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan expressed their intentions to do the same.
It was reported in late November that Uzbekneftegaz plans to negotiate with Gazprom a price increase for Uzbek gas from the current US$100 per 1,000 in 2008. The Uzbek side intends to switch from regional to formula-calculated international prices.
