Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Scheduled repairs of the first stage of the gas purification unit from sulfur using Amin were carried out at the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

The first stage of the device was launched in 1985. Its function is to remove sulfur and carbon dioxide from the exhaust gases from the device. It is designed to receive 0.8 billion cubic meters of regeneration gas annually.

To prevent a reduction in refining volumes during the period of suspension of the repair of the 1st stage of the gas purification unit from sulfur using Amin, the operating modes of the units of the Main Facility were optimized. As a result, a reduction in the total volume of gas for processing by 1.6 thousand cubic meters per day was prevented.

As a result of the overhaul of the unit, its stable operation was ensured in the autumn-winter period, and the quality of gas supplied to the main gas pipelines of the Mybarek management of Uztransgaz JSC was raised to the level of O’zDSt-948: 2016.

Despite the quarantine conditions of the coronavirus pandemic, with strict adherence to measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the department, the planned repair of the 1st stage of the installation was successfully completed and backed up.
