Gas Cylinder Explosion Occurs in “Damas” Vehicle in Kashkadarya Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Reports circulated on social media about a methane gas-related explosion in Koson District of Kashkadarya Region.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, on 7 March at 10:30 in the Yangiobod mahalla of Koson District, at the Maymanok–Koson intersection, a stationary “Damas” vehicle experienced an explosion.

Preliminary information indicates that the incident was caused by a technical malfunction of a compressed gas cylinder installed in the vehicle.

Authorities emphasized that the explosion did not occur at an automotive gas-filling station.

No injuries or fire were reported. Relevant services are currently investigating the causes and assessing any potential property damage.
