Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 3 April 2020 No.UP-5978 "On additional measures to support the population, economic sectors and business entities during the coronavirus pandemic" envisages the preservation of excise tax rates on alcohol until the end of this year, alcoholic beverages, including wines and beer, as well as excise duty in the sale of gasoline, diesel fuel and gas to the end consumer, established on 1 January 2020.

In this regard, the excise tax rates on manufactured goods will not increase until the end of 2020, with the exception of tobacco products. From 1 October 2020, the excise tax rate on tobacco products will increase by 7%.
