FlyArystan Resumes Direct Flights Between Almaty and Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 March 2026, FlyArystan officially relaunched its direct low-cost flight route between Almaty and Samarkand at Samarkand International Airport.

The ceremony was attended by Rustam Kobilov, Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region; Talgat Sharipov, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Samarkand; FlyArystan and Air Marakanda executives; as well as official guests, partners, and media representatives.

The Kazakh Consul General highlighted the importance of the resumed flights in strengthening trade, tourism, educational, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The first passenger on the Samarkand–Almaty flight received a certificate for a free ticket from FlyArystan, while Air Marakanda granted access to the CIP lounge.

Direct flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, providing convenient opportunities for business, tourism, and academic exchanges between the two major cities.
