In accordance with the permission received from the aviation authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on 22 December, the Russian airline IrAero began operating flights on the route Moscow-Andijan-Moscow on aircraft Superjet-100.

IrAero is a Russian airline founded in 1999. The airline regularly carries out transportation throughout the Russian Federation and in neighboring countries.

The Andijan airfield, which is one of the oldest transport hubs in the Ferghana Valley, was built in 1954. The last regular flight on the Andijan-Tashkent route was carried out on a Boeing-757 aircraft in October last year.
