First group of pilgrims flies to Saudi Arabia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A first group of pilgrims flied from Tashkent to Saudi Arabia with charter flight of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) on 9 February 2015 to perform Umrah pilgrimage.

The Committee on religious affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said that the group consists of 175 people.

The Committee underlined that about 5,350 people from Uzbekistan will perform Umrah pilgrimage during spring season.

The pilgrims from Uzbekistan will stay in Saudi Arabia for ten days. The group of doctors, cooks and members of the working group will provide various services to pilgrims, the committee added.
