Fire Breaks Out at Shopping Center near “Novza” Metro Station in Tashkent; All Evacuated

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fire occurred at a shopping center near the “Novza” metro station in Tashkent, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the ministry, smoke appeared on the roof of the complex due to overheating of an approximately 30-meter-long electrical cable. At 18:03, rescue units arrived at the scene, and all visitors and employees of the building were evacuated.

The fire was fully extinguished by 18:19. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries. Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the material damage.
