FINEX increases stake in Uzbek Postal Operator

The Chinese FINEX LTD. bought 9.44% shares in Uzbekiston Pochtasi, Uzbekistan’s national postal operator, for US$1.07 million, bringing its total holding in the enterprise to 34.8% shares.

The shares were bought from the company’s minority shareholders on the secondary market of the Uzbek Stock Exchange.

At the start of 2007, FINEX bought the initial 25.4% stake in Uzbekiston Pochtasi for US$4.1 million at an international tender.
