Fatal Traffic Accident in Tashkent: Onix Driver Hits Pedestrian and Collides with Cars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent.

According to the information service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, on 28 November at 11:10, a 1994-born driver of an Onix vehicle lost control on Abdulla Qodiri Street and struck a pedestrian who was on the right shoulder.

After the collision, the Onix car crashed into parked vehicles on the right lane, including a Nexia-3 and a Cobalt, resulting in a multi-car accident.

The pedestrian sustained injuries incompatible with life and died at the scene.

The Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tashkent has opened a criminal case under Article 266, Part 2, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation is ongoing.
