Exhibition of 100 Masterpieces by Dilorom Mamedova Opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 March, ARTepa gallery at the Central Asian University for Environmental Studies and Climate Change (Green University) opened the exhibition “100 Masterpieces of Dilorom Mamedova.” The event brought together government officials, diplomats, art experts, young eco-activists, and media representatives.
Aziz Abdukhakimov, Presidential Adviser on Ecology and Chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, highlighted the growing development of arts in New Uzbekistan and praised the exhibition as a significant cultural project promoting environmental awareness. He emphasized that the gallery aims to preserve, study, and popularize cultural values while fostering artistic and scientific initiatives related to sustainable development.
The exhibition features works by Dilorom Mamedova, a renowned artist and recipient of the “Shukhrat” medal, whose creations reflect national traditions, cultural heritage, and the spiritual world of the Uzbek people. The displayed pieces span abstraction, realism, philosophical painting, and landscapes, expressing the country’s natural beauty and cultural richness.
For the occasion, Mamedova donated 100 unique paintings to Green University. The exhibition will remain open to visitors for two months, offering an opportunity to experience contemporary Uzbek art in a space dedicated to cultural and environmental dialogue.
