Enterprises of Uzbekistan produces industrial products worth 26.8 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 26.8 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounted to 98.8%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (20.5%). 

The main factors behind the decline in the physical volume of industrial production were its decrease in mining and quarrying enterprises - by 0.2%, in the manufacturing industry - by 2.2%. At the same time, there is an increase in production at power supply, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises - by 4.0%, in water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal by 14.0%. 

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January 2021 amounted to 3.2 trillion soums, or 12.0% of the total industry. 

Manufacturing enterprises in January 2021 produced goods worth 20.5 trillion soums, or 76.5% of the total industry. 

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.0% (2.1% in January 2020), medium-high-tech - 13.6% (24.2%), medium-low-tech - 44.7% (38.1%) and low-tech - 39.7% (35.6%).

In January 2021, the republic produced 93.9 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease of 6.1%), 39.8 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 8.9%), 144.2 thousand tons of soft wheat and spelled flour (3.5%) and 10.9 million liters of beer (26.8%). 

In January 2021, 250 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2019, the volume of production decreased by 8.1%). 

In January 2021, 6 pieces of buses were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 88.2% was noted). 

In January 2021, 1.9 thousand automobile engines were produced in the republic (a decrease of 90.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2020). 

In January 2021, 12 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 90.1% was recorded). 

In the automotive industry in January 2021, 101 Cobalt cars were produced (growth rates compared to the same period in 2020 were 2.0%), 88 - Nexia (1.5%), 2 - Gentra (%), 4335 - Damas (108.7%), 39 - Spark (1.7%) and 670 - Labo (2.2 times).

The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (by 6.2 times by January 2020) and caustic soda (by 2.5 times). 

At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of ammonium sulfate (93.6% against January 2020), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (100.6%).

If in January 2020 the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 24.6%, and the volume index decreased by 1.2%, then in January 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry amounted to 33.3%, the volume index increased by 3.9%, the production volume amounted to 6 820.2 billion soums.

In January 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, increased by 5.0%.

In January 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 4.5%, the index of physical production increased by 11.7%, and the volume of production amounted to 916.7 billion soums.

If in January 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.7%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 103.4%, then in January 2021 the share of food products amounted to 14.6%, the index of physical volume increased by 10.3%, the total volume of production amounted to 2 995.9 billion soums.

At the end of January 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.1%, while the volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 12.4%.

In January 2021, the share of beverage production amounted to 2.0%, the physical volume index was 95.2%, and the production volume amounted to 409.5 billion soums.

At the end of January 2020, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 14.2%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 2.0%.

In January 2021, the share of textile production amounted to 16.4%, the index of the physical volume of their production increased by 12.4%, and the production volume amounted to 3 354.6 billion soums.

In January 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 7.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 6.4%.

In January 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 8.0%, the index of physical production volume decreased by 4.0%, and the production volume amounted to 1 644.3 billion soums.

At the end of January 2020, the share of coke and product production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 13.3%.

In January 2021, the share of coke and product production amounted to 3.3%, the physical volume index also decreased by 20.1%, and the production volume amounted to 673.4 billion soums.

At the end of January 2020, the share of production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.4%, while the volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, amounted to 110.1%.

In January 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 2.8%, the physical volume index decreased by 78.5%, and the production volume amounted to 564.4 billion soums.

At the end of January 2020, the share of the production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.7%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 107.9%.

In January 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 1.5%, the physical volume index decreased by 4.8%, and the production volume amounted to 306.8 billion soums.

The volume of products produced by the enterprises of electricity supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning amounted to 2.8 trillion soums (10.5% of the total industry). The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 4.0%.

The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 0.9 trillion soums (0.9% of the total industry). 

Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was an increase in services for the emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks by 32.0%, as well as services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment by 57.0%. reduction of production of textile waste by 1.6%.

As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 6.7 trillion soums and, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate was 84.0%, the share in the total volume of industry was 25.2%.

In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka and beer amounted to 7.4% (8.1% in January 2020). 

In the structure of consumer goods production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (16.7% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent (13.3%), Samarkand (13.4%) and Fergana (7.5%) regions. 

The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Jizzakh (110.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Bukhara (110.2%), Samarkand (108.5%), Syrdarya (107.2%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (105.7%), exceeding the national average (84.0%).

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (17.0% of the total volume of non-food products), Samarkand (15.6%), Tashkent (11.4%), and Bukhara (9.0%) regions. 

The largest growth in the production of non-food products was recorded in Namangan (112.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Bukhara (111.8%), Jizzakh (111.3%) and Surkhandarya (109.4%) regions.

In the structure of food production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (16.3% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (15.7%) and Samarkand (10.6%) regions. 

At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in Samarkand (125.4%), Syrdarya (119.8%) and Jizzakh (109.3%) regions.

During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced goods worth 6.3 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 23.4%.

The change in industrial production was significantly influenced by the growth in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Khorezm (115.4% compared to January 2020), Kashkadarya (114.7%), Surkhandarya (109.6%), Navoi (108.0%), Samarkand (107.2%), Namangan (104.9%), regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (102.7%).

In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on the enterprises of the city of Tashkent (14.8% of the republican volume of industry), Navoi (21.6%), Tashkent (19.0%), Kashkadarya (5.4%) and Fergana (5.1%) regions. 

The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.4%) and Jizzakh (1.5%) regions.

Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (781.9 thousand soums) in Navoi (5 742.6 thousand soums), Tashkent (1 716.1 thousand soums), Syrdarya (858.3 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (1 504.9 thousand soums). 

The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 196.8 thousand soums, including in the city of Tashkent - 427.8 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 302.5 thousand soums, Bukhara region - 260.2 thousand soums, Navoi region - 254.5 thousand soums.

During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods worth 5.5 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 20.5%. 

In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Jizzakh region (60.5% of the total industrial volume of the region), Andijan (48.6%), Fergana (42.9%), Samarkand (42.8%), and Surkhandarya (35.6%) regions.

At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (4.6%), Tashkent (15.1%) and Syrdarya (18.5%) regions, Tashkent city (19.5%), as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan ( 16.8%). Analysis of the structure of industrial production in the context of the regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total volume of industry is explained by the significant volume of production of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.

Nowadays, 84.6 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 16.1 thousand (19.0% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 9.2 thousand (10.9%) are in Fergana, 8.8 thousand (10.3%) - Tashkent, 8.6 thousand (10.1%) - Andijan, 7.1 thousand (8.4%) - Samarkand and 6.7 thousand (7, 9%) - Namangan region. In January 2021, 1438 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 153 (10.6% of the total number of newly created ones) are in the Fergana, 143 (9.9%) - Namangan, 143 (9.9%) Samarkand, 133 (9.2%) - Andijan region and 215 (15.0%) - Tashkent city.

Nowadays, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises are located in the cities of Andijan (3 117 units), Namangan (2 626 units), Samarkand (1 620 units), Kokand (1 458 units), as well as in the following districts of Tashkent city: Almazar (2 167 units), Chilanzar (1 991 units), Uchtepa (1914 units), Yunusabad (1 744 units), Shaikhantakhur (1 431 units) and Mirzo-Ulugbek (1 332 units).

As of February 1, 2021, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (58 units), Syrdarya region; Tamdy district (63 units), Navoi region; Arnasai (83 units) and Yangiabad (67 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeili (78 units), Kanlykul (74 units), Takhtakupyr (70 units) and Bozatau (30 units) districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhan district (52 units) of Surkhandarya region; in the city of Gazgan, Navoi region (8 units).
