Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-October 2020, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 289.7 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production for the same period of 2019 amounted to 98.4%. In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (83.0%).
The main factors behind the decline in the physical volume of industrial production were its decrease in mining and quarrying enterprises - by 25.3%, in water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - by 6.3%. At the same time, there is an increase in production in the manufacturing industry by 4.1%, at power supply, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises - by 12.1%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-October 2020 amounted to 26.0 trillion soums, or 9.0% of the total industry.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-October 2020 produced goods worth 240.4 trillion soums, or 83.0% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of hightech industries amounted to 1.4% (1.2% in January-October 2019), medium-high-tech - 19.4% (20.5%), medium-low-tech - 33.7% (29.2%) and low-tech - 28.6% (28.4%).
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 19.5% (the volume index reached 2.7% by January-September 2019), metallurgical industry - 26.3% (4.3%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 15.0% (7.9%), for the production of food, drinks and tobacco products - 16.6% (5.2%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.5% (3.3%).
In January-October 2020, the republic produced 849.4 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period of 2019, an increase of 1.2%), 370.0 thousand tons of cotton yarn (8.7%), 1 532.6 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (14.5%) and 220.3 million liters of beer (13.2%).
In January-October 2020, 3 306 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2019, the volume of production decreased by 25.5%). In 2020, the largest production volume of these products was noted in September, amounting to 390 units.
In January-October 2020, 566 buses were produced in the Republic (by the corresponding period of 2019, production decreased by 60.7%). The largest production volume in 2020 was recorded in March, amounting to 176 units.
In January-October 2020, 192.6 thousand pieces of automobile engines were produced in the republic (an increase of 16.5% over the corresponding period of 2019). In 2020, the largest production volume of these products was noted in July, amounting to 24.1 thousand pieces.
In January-October 2020, 630 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-October 2019, the volume of production decreased by 47.2%). The largest volume of tractor production was recorded in April 2020, amounting to 234 units.
In January-October 2020, 573 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2019, a decrease in production by 65.0% was recorded). In April 2020, the largest production volume of these products was noted, amounting to 144 pieces.
Compared to the same period in 2019, the manufacturing industry increased the production of passenger cars by 9.1 times, automobile engines - by 1.2 times, motor gasoline - by 1.2%, radiators, mufflers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, steering gear housings and their parts - 1.3 times.
In the automotive industry in January-October 2020, 66,481 Cobalt vehicles were produced (growth rates compared to the same period in 2019 were 46.7%), 57 694 – “Nexia” (-6%), 41 799 – “Gentra” (+21.0%), 44 076 – “Damas” (+4.4%), 21 757 – “Spark” (+15.2%) and 7 061 – “Labo” (+18.2%).
The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for ammonium sulfate (+19.3% against January-October 2019), potassium chloride (+4.7%) and caustic soda (4.3 time).
At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of methyl alcohol (57.7% compared to January-October 2019), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (-3.5%)
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning amounted to 21.6 trillion soums (7.4% of the total industry).
The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 12.1%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 1.7 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, there was an increase in services for the emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks by 48.3% and services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 0.7%. At the same time, a decrease in the volume and production of textile waste by 21.5% was recorded.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 95.8 trillion soums and, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 1.9%, the share in the total industry was 33.1%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka and beer amounted to 7.1% (7.5% in January-October 2019). In the structure of consumer goods production in the republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (22.9% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent city (18.6%), Tashkent (11.4%), Samarkand (9.0%) and Fergana (6.6%) regions.
The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Tashkent (+11.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Namangan (+9.4%), Samarkand (109.0%), Bukhara (105.7%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (106.6%) exceeding the national average (101.9%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (32.4% of the total volume of non-food products), Tashkent city (16.8%), Samarkand (8.4%), Tashkent (8.2%) and Khorezm (6.1%) region.
The largest growth in the production of non-food products was recorded in Namangan (+8.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Tashkent (+6.9%), Samarkand (+5.9%) and Navoi (+5.6%) regions.
In the structure of food production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (21.9% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (17.3%) and Samarkand (10.0%) regions. At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in Tashkent (+15.1%), Samarkand (+14.0%) and Namangan (+10.8%) regions.
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced goods worth 65.0 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 22.4%.
The change in industrial production was significantly influenced by a decrease in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Samarkand (-0.4% compared to January-October 2019), Kashkadarya (-0.6%) regions and Tashkent city (-3.8%).
At the same time, there is a significant increase in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Namangan (+11.3% compared to January-October 2019), Navoi (+9.5%), Surkhandarya (+8.6%), Khorezm (=4.7%), Jizzakh (+4.6%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+2.6%).
In the structure of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on the enterprises of Tashkent city (17.5% of the republican volume of industry), Navoi (18.3%), Tashkent (18.2%), Andijan (10.1%) and Fergana (5.7%) regions. The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.3%) and Jizzakh (1.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (8.48 million soums) in Navoi (52.92 million soums), Tashkent (17.78 million soums), Andijan (9.26 million soums) to regions and Tashkent city (19.41 million soums).
Production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic made up 2.8 million soums, including in the city of Tashkent – 6.81 million soums, Andijan region – 6.95 million soums, Tashkent region - 3 695.3 thousand soums, Navoi region - 3 098.4 thousand soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods worth 74.3 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 25.7%.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (6.5%), Andijan (18.4%) and Tashkent (20.7%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (21.5%). Analysis of the structure of industrial production in the context of the regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total volume of industry is explained by the significant production volume of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.
Nowadays, 81,500 industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 15.6 thousand (19.2% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 8.7 thousand (10.7%) - in Fergana, 8.5 thousand (10.5%) - Tashkent, 8.3 thousand (10.2%) - Andijan, 6.8 thousand (8.4%) - Samarkand and 6.4 thousand (7, 9%) - Namangan regions.
In January-October 2020, 16 048 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 2 263 (14.1% of the total number of newly created) accounted for Andijan, 1 637 (10.2%) - Surkhandarya, 1 278 (8.0%) - Tashkent region, 1 464 (9.1%) - Ferghana region and 1 640 (10.2%) - Tashkent city.
To date, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the cities of Andijan (3 049 units), Namangan (2 545 units), Samarkand (1 557 units), Qoqand (1 404 units), as well as in the following districts of the city of Tashkent: Almazar (2 132 units), Chilanzar (1 953 units), Uchtepa (1 882 units), Yunusabad (1 703 units), Shaykhantakhur (1 394 units) and Sergeli (1 382 units).
As of November 1, 2020, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (60 units), Syrdarya region; Tamdy district (58 units), Navoi region; Arnasai (78 units) and Yangiabad (62 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeyli (73 units), Kanlykul (72 units), Takhtakupyr (62 units) and Bozatausky (27 units) regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhan district (45 units) of Surkhandarya region; Dehkanabad region (80 units) of Kashkadarya regions.
