Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February 2020, the Embassy of Uzbekistan held a briefing in Ashgabat on the Message from the President of Uzbekistan Oliy Majlis and the announcement of 2020 as the “Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy.”

The event was attended by the heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of the wide Turkmen public and the media.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov in his introduction brought to the attention of the event participants detailed information on the wide-ranging reforms being carried out in our country in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres.

It was separately emphasized that the constructive domestic and foreign policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev opened up new opportunities for deepening economic cooperation in the region and allowed restarting the mechanism of confidential dialogue in Central Asia.
