Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to attract investments from large business circles of Egypt to the economy of Uzbekistan, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Egypt Oybek Usmanov met with President of Elsewedy Electrics Ahmed El-Suweidi, Vice President Wail Hamdi in New Cairo and the manager Sheriff Deknavi, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the negotiations, further steps were agreed on the implementation of technological and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of energy, electrical, oil refining, gas chemical industries and "smart" transport systems, as well as generation of renewable energy, including solar and wind power plants.
The need to use in Uzbekistan a combined system for the use of natural gas and renewable energy sources for industrial production and heating of private houses, government buildings, which will lead to saving natural gas and reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, was noted.
To implement the planned projects, the company works closely with the German partner "Siemens AG", which supplies the appropriate equipment to the customer with the support of public and private financial institutions in Germany.
The management of Elsewedy Electrics expressed its readiness to open its representative office in Uzbekistan to effectively enter the economic life of our country.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of a group of experts and specialists from Elsewedy Electrics to Uzbekistan in mid-November to conduct negotiations with state, private companies and discuss specific projects in the above areas.
