Electricity supplies to Kashkadarya to grow by 11.4% in the autumn-winter period

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regular offsite meeting of the Special Headquarters of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan was held in Kashkadarya region to analyze the progress in preparing for a stable supply of electricity in the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021. According to the plans, consumers in the region will receive 11.4% more electricity than last season.

Members of the Special Staff directly on the spot got acquainted with the preparatory work carried out at transformer substations in Karshi, Nishansky, Guzar, Kamashinsky, Yakkabag, Shakhrisabz and Mubarek districts, gave relevant instructions and tasks for their implementation and successful completion.

In total, consumers of Kashkadarya region as a whole in the autumn-winter period 2020-2021, 2.93 billion kWh of electricity will be supplied, which is 11.4% more than last season.

The regional power supply system includes 26.2 thousand kilometers of power transmission lines and 8,884 transformer stations.

By 1 October, overhaul of 2,097.2 km of power transmission lines and 701 transformer substations will be completed.

To date, a reserve of 22 transformer substations, 19.5 tonnes of transformer oil and 59.4 km of cable products has been created in the region for the stable conduct of the autumn-winter period.
