Edward Shapira becomes head of Israeli diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Edward Shapira was appointed to the post Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

On 25 August 2017 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador. Ambassador Shapira presented a copy of his credentials to the Uzbek Foreign Minister.

The sides discussed state and prospects for development of Uzbek-Israeli relations, primarily in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on some issues of regional and international issues.
