EBRD: Uzbekistan’s economy to grow by 6.2% in 2017

The European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) forecasted that the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will grow by 6.2%, the November report “Regional Economic Prospects in EBRD Countries of Operations” said.
According to the forecast of the EBRD experts, the growth of economy of Uzbekistan will make up 6.2% in 2017. The bank did not change its previous forecasts for economic growth of Uzbekistan for 2016 and 2017.
The EBRD forecasted that the inflation level in Uzbekistan will make up 9% in 2016. The same level was forecasted for 2017 as well. The bank’s forecast on inflation rate remained unchanged.
The Government of Uzbekistan expects that the growth of GDP will make 7.8% in 2016 and 8% in 2017.
