EBRD, State Competition Committee hold meeting in Tashkent

The visit was aimed at discussing cooperation between State Competition Committee of Uzbekistan and the EBRD in privatization, anti-monopoly regulations, improvement of corporate management and securities market.

State Competition Committee of Uzbekistan said that the Uzbek Government is decreasing its presence in economy and developing private sector, as well as improving business and investment climate.

The EBRD delegation expressed readiness to cooperation in privatization, development of corporate management and securities market, competition, protection of consumers’ rights, etc.

The sides reached agreement on concrete measures on further cooperation.
