Earthquake with epicenter in Tajikistan shakes Uzbekistan

According to the Tashkent seismic station, the earthquake with the epicenter in Tajikistan was felt in Uzbekistan at 9:46 and 9:47 on 3 May 2017.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 274 km away from Tashkent in eastern direction and 105 km from Ferghana in southern direction. The earthquake magnitude at the epicenter was 5.9.

Power of underground tremors in Ferghana city was equal to 4.5 points, Andijan city – 4 points, and Tashkent city – 3.5-4 point.

There is no information on destruction and causalities, the Uzbek ministry said.
