Earthquake in Afghanistan jolts Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An earthquake with epicenter in Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan was registered in Tashkent at 00:16 on Saturday, 26 December 2015.
According to the data of the European-Mediterranean Seismology Center, the magnitude at the epicenter was 6.2.
Tashkent seismic station said that the power of tremors in Tashkent was 3 points.
The epicenter was located 450 km away from Tashkent in Hindu Kush mountains (Afghanistan).
The earthquake in Tashkent was felt within several seconds. The chandeliers and furniture, as well as dinnerware shook as well.
Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan said that there was no information on devastation and causalities.
