President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On introduction of a qualitatively new system for protection of public order, prevention of crime and fight against crime in the city of Tashkent."

The head of Uzbekistan instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs, within two months, on the basis of studying the best foreign experience, to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan proposals for introduction in Tashkent of a simplified procedure for production of administrative offenses connected with the violation of parking rules by drivers of vehicles.

The document said that police officers should have the right to draw up protocols and record the wrong parking in the absence of drivers.

The President also instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to take measures to improve the culture of observance of traffic rules among pedestrians, including through comprehensive explanatory work and the involvement of pedestrians in administrative responsibility for offenses.
