Draw for AFC U-19 Women’s Champs qualifiers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The draw for the first round of the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2011 Qualification tournament was held here at AFC House on Wednesday.

Myanmar, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Uzbekistan have been pooled in Group A while Group B features India, Bangladesh, Jordan and IR Iran.

The eight teams represent the bottom-ranked countries in the AFC. After a single round-robin, the top team from each group will advance to the second round.

The second round features teams ranked 6-8 from the previous competition, along with the first-round group winners, for a total of five countries.

After a single round-robin, the top team will qualify for the finals.

The first round of qualifiers will be held from September 20-24 for each group at venues yet to be decided.
