Deputy Prime Minister of South Korea conducts lecture for students of Tashkent universities
During the visit to IUT, Dr. Kim Dong Yeon gave a lecture to students of eight universities of Tashkent.
Opening the event, IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev briefed the participants about activities of Inha University in Tashketn and noted that currently it is the first and only campus of the South Korean University in Uzbekistan and the world.
During his lecture, Kim Dong Yeon said that cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea dates back to the era of Afrasiab (1,500 years ago). The Vice-premier said that Korean Ambassador in national clothes painted in in the fresco "Ambassadors", which is stored in the museum Afrosiab (Samarkand).
Kim Dong Yeon, in particular, spoke about his life’s path and stressed the importance of getting education.
The Deputy Prime Minister also dwelled on development of the South Korean economy and importance of innovation in the development of the country.
At the end of the visit, Kim Dong Yeon left his wishes in the Book of Honored Guests of Inha University in Tashkent.
“I wish unlimited development to Inha University in Tashkent as development of cooperation and 1,500-year friendship between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea wrote.
