Denis Istomin reaches second round of Wimbledon

Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin reached the second round of Wimbledon with the prize fund of 14.6 million pounds.
In the first round, Denis Istomin faced Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany on Monday, 20 June 2011.
The match lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes and the Uzbek player claimed victory – 4:6, 6:3, 6:3, 6:3.
During the match, Denis Istomin recorded 18 aces against 7 of Philipp Kohlschreiber. The Uzbek representative made 28 unforced errors, while Kohlschreiber – 33.
In the second round, Denis Istomin will play against Mardy Fish of the USA, who is seeded as number ten in the tournament.
