Delegation of Zhambyl region visits Uzbekistan

A delegation of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan led by akim of the region Karim Kokrekbaev visited Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Kazakhstan included representatives of the akimiat and business circles of Zhambyl region.
Khokim of Jizzakh region Ulugbek Uzokov received the delegation of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between two regions.
The delegation of Kazakhstan visited a number of social and cultural sites, enterprises and the free economic zone Jizzakh. In addition, the Kazakh delegation familiarized with industrial and export potential of Jizzakh region.
Trade turnover between Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in 2016 was US$34 million, which is 28% higher compared to 2015.
