The delegation of Uzbekistan is in Budapest to participate in the first meeting of foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group and Central Asia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed promising areas for development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU. The sides also reviewed implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogerini, to Uzbekistan on 9-10 November 2017.
The sides exchanged views on launching negotiations and signing an updated Agreement on partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
Diplomats of Uzbekistan and the EU reviewed the schedule and agenda for forthcoming bilateral contacts, meetings of joint institutions of interaction and other events.
