Delegation of Uzbekistan discusses conditions for signing a preferential trade agreement in Turkey

A meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Director General of the Department of Treaties of the Ministry of Economy of the Turkish Republic M.Ishkin was held in Istanbul on 15 March 2018. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
During the meeting, the terms of signing the bilateral Preferential Trade Agreement were discussed, in the event of signing, both states will be able to give each other a more favorable regime in comparison with third countries based on advantages in the form of lowering customs duties and other preferences.
Also, questions were considered regarding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey in April 2018.
At the invitation of the Uzbek side at the end of March 2018, the delegation of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey plans to visit Uzbekistan to hold consultations on the prospects for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
