Delegation of UN Security Council visits Uzbekistan

A delegation of divisions of the UN Security Council on monitoring execution of resolutions 1373 (2001), 1654 (2005) and 2178 (2014) in Uzbekistan held a meeting with Zhang Xinfeng, Director of the Executive Committee of Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS), on 16 April 2015.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on new global threats and challenges of international terrorism, separatism and extremism, including cyber-terrorism, etc.
Zhang Xinfeng briefed the UN delegation on work on combating three evils, preventing use of internet for terrorism and separatism.
The sides confirmed their interest in cooperation on fighting terrorism in line with the letters and agreements between the SCO and the UN.
