The trip was organized within the framework of the joint project of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan and UNDP "Rule of law in Uzbekistan" and is aimed at studying French experience in development of the judicial and legal system and the introduction of effective mechanisms for the reliable protection of human rights and freedoms.

The program of the study visit includes meetings and negotiations in the State Council, the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Cassation, the Superior Council of the Magistracy of France, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Commercial and Administrative Court of Appeal of Paris, and the National School of Magistracy in Bordeaux and other institutions.

During the visit, a round table is also planned, during which participants from the French side will be able to familiarize themselves with the main directions of judicial and legal reform within the framework of the Strategy for Action on the five priority development directions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021
