Delegation of Tashkent khokimiyat holds meetings with representatives of South Korean companies
In particular, the delegation of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of LG CNS. The sides are considering implementation of a project on introduction of a modern urban public transport management system (TOPIS) in Tashkent.
With the representatives of Geo 2 Kom, the sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the implementation of a pilot project on creation of a web-based cadastral information system in Tashkent. The cost of the project is estimated at US$3-5 million. It is expected that KOICA will issue a grant to fund the project.
The delegation of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Hyundai Department Store Group. The parties agreed to implement a project to build a distribution center for spare parts for construction machinery and building materials with projected investments of US$20 million.
In addition, the delegation has reached agreements with Daesung Celtic Enersys and Jeil Architecture on the creation of a joint venture for production of gas heating boilers and energy-saving underfloor heating systems in the small industrial areas of the capital. The total amount of attracted direct investment may exceed US$2 million.
Following the meeting with the head of Khil Pyung, an agreement was signed on implementation of a project for construction of a multifunctional residential complex in Tashkent for US$7 million.
