Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The debt of the population and legal entities for electricity in Uzbekistan is 3.5 trillion soums. This was announced by Jakhongir Obidjanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Regional Electric Networks company.
At the same time, the debt of individuals for electricity as of 1 December 2020 is 2.34 trillion soums against 2.38 trillion soums as of 1 October 2020.
According to him, Samarkand region is the leader in terms of the amount of debt for electricity. The debt in this region is 655 billion soums.
Jakhongir Obidjanov stressed that within two months, the amount of debt decreased by 40 billion soums, which is the result of the introduction of the billing system.
