Damaged power line in Surkhandarya restored

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 April 2021, due to torrential rains and winds in Kumkurgan district of Surkhandarya region, two supports of the 500 kV L-508 overhead line between the Surkhan and Guzar substations collapsed.

As a result, the operation of the 500 kV power transmission line, connecting the Surkhan substation in Surkhandarya region with the Guzar substation, was disrupted.

As a result of the measures taken by the special teams of the National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan JSC to eliminate this situation, on the eve of 7 April, work was completed to restore these supports and the operation of the power transmission line was adjusted.
