Customs officers prevent illicit drug trafficking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Anti-Smuggling and Customs Offenses Directorate of the State Customs Committee stopped illegal drug trafficking.

In the course of the operational event, thorough monitoring of citizen M.Kh. was organized, upon the sale of 13.58 grams of hashish oil, cannabis oil in the amount of 3.53 grams, and the opium drug in the amount of 3, 88 gr to the fake customer.

At the moment when the citizen stopped and parked his “Lacetti” car near one of the markets located in the Chilanzar district, the car was searched with the participation of witnesses. As a result of a search in the car, the “marijuana” was found in the amount of 434 grams.

The operational event was continued and an inspection was conducted at the house of the citizen. As a result of inspections in the hourse, the officials found 1.75 grams of opium and 0.39 grams of marijuana.

At present, pre-trial investigations are being conducted on the revealed fact of the offense.
