Criminal Case Opened in Jizzakh over Death of Minor Pedestrian

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A criminal case has been initiated in Jizzakh following the death of a minor pedestrian.

The incident occurred on 7 December 2025, when the child sustained severe injuries in a road traffic accident and was hospitalized.

Despite receiving medical care, the victim passed away on 20 December.

The investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The suspect has been detained in accordance with the law, and initial investigative measures are underway to establish all circumstances of the incident.
