Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy khokim of Tashkent Sharof Rakhmonov met with officials of Japanese companies Toyota Trade Company and Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific.

In the process of dialogue, the parties discussed at what stage bilateral cooperation is now, and what are its prospects.

Takaki Manabu, head of the Toyota Trade Company’s Tashkent office in Tashkent, noted that their company has been operating effectively in Uzbekistan for 20 years, has been supplying equipment for textile enterprises for many years, and has also been implementing a joint project in the field of communications and informatization over the past two years, which aims to increase Internet speeds.

Sharof Rakhmonov said that the cooperation of the Tashkent khokimiyat with Japanese companies is developing rapidly and the capital’s khokimiyat is always glad to joint projects with them.

He also noted that at present there is a plan for the development of electrical engineering in our city and there is an opportunity to establish cooperation in this direction as well. After which he invited guests to get acquainted with the capital's facilities in this area.
